Camp Pinnacle Wedding in western North Carolina – Asheville Wedding Photography

Annie and Brown were married on a lovely May afternoon, lakeside at Camp Pinnacle. I really enjoyed working with this unique and fun couple. This picturesque camp, tucked in the mountains near Asheville, NC, is in the area where both the bride and groom went to camp as kids.

Annie, the bride, was beautiful in her bohemian inspired dress and a daisy adorned flower crown, her style perfectly complementing the camp venue. Brown, the groom, and his groomsmen were dressed in classic navy suits with spring green ties. He was completely smitten when he saw his bride to be. Both were absolutely adorable in the crow’s nest during their pre-ceremony first look. He read the letter he wrote her, as she couldn’t decipher his writing, and she gifted him fun socks with cows and burgers on them. Their huge wedding party full of family and friends surrounded them during their vows, then they exited the ceremony and paddled off in canoes during the most magical light. I am very excited to share these images with you all!!!

From Annie, as I couldn’t say it better: “Shout out to camp pinnacle for being so gracious and patient with this crew! We both grew up going to camp in the area, so we were thrilled when we found out we would be able to get married at camp pinnacle. I spent many a nights as a kid at camp dances in that same open aired gym/barn we had our first dance as a married couple in! Very special! We had such an awesome time actually spending time with all of our best friends on the lake on Saturday. Most couples are cooped up and pampering themselves for their big day. We weren’t worried about that. In fact, we both showered maybe an hour before the ceremony…eeek! We wanted this weekend to just as much be a celebration of our friends and family who got us here – and that’s just how it turned out. Looking back, we wouldn’t do a single thing differently.”

As a DIY family effort that pulled together for an awesome wedding, Annie’s aunt Leigh did the flowers and the couple’s grandparents/parents/family worked to make it all happen. Beth McKinney was their wedding coordinator.
