Asheville’s River Arts District is full of art, artists and makers. Bursting with color and inspiration, it was the ideal location for this creative, beer and music loving couple to tie the knot. Sam and George decided to plan their bohemian style Asheville destination wedding since they spent their first anniversary of dating here and have visited many times since. Breweries are a staple of their time here, so it seemed like a perfect option to select the Wedge at Foundation for their big day.
I adore that they opted for a first look – such a sweet moment to give the couple time to see each other and to connect before the ceremony. It also offers lots of opportunity for us to capture amazing portraits before everyone arrives. Their ceremony was officiated by a dear friend of the couple and could not have been more perfect. It was a spectacular day into night as the couple celebrated with their friends and family.
The bride created the centerpieces – many filled with books and sweet mementos, adding such personal touches throughout the space. The bold fun floral from Flying Cloud Farm was the perfect accent in the Cloud Room at Wedge – with many arrangements in growler jugs as they should be at a brewery. Catering was perfectly provided by 12 Bones Smokehouse (located next door to Wedge!). With the bride’s family from Pittsburgh, her mom outdid the traditional cookie table and had it stacked with all the best cookies throughout the event from H.D. Dudt bakery in Pittsburgh. Lauren Kauffman with the Mindful Planner helped coordinate their perfect destination wedding. Mr. C’s Mobile DJ did a wonderful job as always to keep the music playing after the ceremony.
So many wonderful moments – hope you love getting to see a glimpse of this awesomely unique couple’s wedding day celebration! Wishing them all the best moments and beer as the years go by!
