There is something almost magical about fall weddings in the mountains. This wedding was early in fall when the colors are just starting to show. Brahma Ridge is a really special location tucked in a gorgeous mountain cove just west of Asheville, NC. The owners, Rob and Holly are just wonderful people that have created a wonderful escape with this property offering cabins on site, a permanent tent for events, a gazebo, a pond and several lovely ceremony location options. I truly adore them and the special place they have created!!
The couples that I have photographed at Brahma Ridge are always big-hearted people that want everyone in attendance to feel like they are on a real mountain escape. Ashley and Jim wanted the best experience for their dearest people gathering to celebrate, and they chose the perfect place to do that. The bride wore white Tom’s wedge heels and a gorgeous gown with corseted back, the ladies dressed in short brown dresses. The groom and groomsmen wore brown Converse with their brown pants and vest, with a comfortable twist on the traditional attire. Wildflower inspiration for the bouquets and decor fit perfectly with this naturally inspired venue. Wood slices were used throughout the reception and for the lovely cake and cupcake stand. The lovely assortment of delicious flavors of cake were from Short Street Cakes. Center of the head table a the wood slice had the words ‘Today I marry my best friend’ etched into it. Truly the sweetest details throughout the day gave me so much greatness to capture. Lots of laughter and tons of great details filled their day. It rained a little then cleared just in time for their wonderful ceremony performed by Michelle Smith. Luella’s Catering served a great spread that as the reception kicked off. Bobby Miller and the Virginia Daredevils band played and everyone celebrated a whole lot!! Congrats Ashley and Jim!!
