Destination Asheville Mountain Wedding – Lindsay and Steven’s Grand Highlands at Bearwallow Mountaintop Wedding

Lindsay and Steven had the most gorgeous Grand Highlands at Bearwallow wedding last fall.  They were so much fun to work with and are so adoring of each other, it was a joy capturing them together!  The weather was threatening rain off and on all day, giving us dramatic clouds with only a few drops falling just before the ceremony started, adding a glistening beauty to the mountaintop vista.  It was a pleasure getting to work with BobbyMark Designs as both floral designer and wedding planner.  They pulled off her vision and helped make the day run smoothly – even with the threat of rain and an outside ceremony!

The bold colors in their unique arrangements were a perfect compliment to this fun couple and their lovely venue.  The ladies were in purple bridesmaids’ dresses and the men were in classic black tuxes, and Lindsay was stunning in her gown and bird’s nest veil.  I love that her bridesmaids wrote sweet messages on the bottom of her shoes.  🙂

The ceremony site was decorated with florals in purples and fall oranges and reds, some in mason jar arrangements hanging on shepherd’s hooks, and a grand arrangement on the cross.  The aisle was edged with purple petals, framed by the white chairs filled with the couple’s family and friends.  Their sweet ceremony was accompanied by the wonderful sounds of a string trio, coordinated by Sharon Lawerence.  The rain held off and the ceremony was nothing short of breathtaking, moving almost all the attendees to tears.  They sealed their vows by tying the knot, vows and a kiss, exiting to start their celebration!

Everyone was so happy to be together and celebrating Lindsay and Steven – the reception was filled with joy and excitement for the newlyweds!  The guests had a wonderful dinner catered by Gregory’s Catering.  They had the most gorgeous cake by Icing On The Cake, Michelle Fountain.  Layers upon layers of purple detailed white cake, filled with flowers between the layers resting on a fondant log slice.  The tables were decorated with fall inspired wood and florals that were complemented with moss and stones.  The table decor in the room was amazing to say the least.  BobbyMark outdid themselves with this one!!

They danced with their friends and family into the night and we all had a great time.  Thanks to Josh Michael of Sound Extreme for being a great dj.  The couple exited through a tunnel of sparklers surrounded by their favorite people at the end of the night, giving us the the perfect shots to end an awesome day!!

We adored being there to capture it for them along with my husband, Chris, with WNC Video Productions! I hope you enjoy getting to see some of their images.  These are some of my favorite photos from their wedding:

Thank you to everyone who made their day so special – and especially thank you to Lindsay and Steven!!  Congratulations again and best wishes to you both!!!
